Tech-Air® 3 Utility Airbag Jacket: Smart and compact safety

Combine safety and practicality with the Tech-Air® 3 Utility Airbag Jacket. Its fully autonomous active airbag system detects collisions using six integrated sensors and deploys automatically in milliseconds. Lightweight and compact, it easily fits in a bag or under the seat, providing optimal torso and back protection without the need for external sensors.

FEATURES :

• Tech-Air® 3 is a fully self-contained active airbag system and requires no external connection or sensor on the motorcycle to operate.
  It incorporates six sensors: three accelerometers (including one triaxial) and three gyroscopes (including one triaxial), offering optimal collision detection performance in various dynamic driving situations, even when stationary.
• The airbag system activates automatically via the magnetic zipper.
  Its compact design allows it to be easily stored in a backpack, satchel, top case or suitcase when the system is not in use.
• The outer frame is made of stretch nylon canvas, with a ribbed bomber collar and elasticated side panels for added comfort and volume when inflated.
  Designed with a central zipper and two internal magnetic buttons on each side: one to hold the chest pad in place while driving, and one to fold it up and conceal it when not in use.
• The jacket has two zipped hand pockets, two chest pockets, one of which has a glasses port on the right pocket, as well as a hidden inside pocket.
  A tab at the waist allows for the attachment of gloves or other accessories.
• A discreet but visible LED screen on the chest, with a reflective support, indicates the operational status of the airbag.
  The LED screen also incorporates a haptic alert, which vibrates to confirm that the system is armed and warns the pilot when the battery is low.
• The system incorporates Alpinestars’ compact Pro 2nd generation electronic control unit (ECU), located in the ECU pocket at the top of the back of the Tech-Air® 3 inner jacket.
  Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.0) connectivity via the Tech-Air® app allows you to monitor the system's operational status, battery level and view trip details via MyRide.
• The system firmware can be updated via the Tech-Air® application, allowing you to check the installed version and perform the latest updates.
  The Tech-Air® 3 uses a certified integrated lithium-ion battery, with a battery life of 40 hours and a charging time of approximately 4 hours.
• The gas cartridge that inflates the airbag is housed in the casing located on the left side of the pilot's lower back.
  The ECU's waterproof protection ensures performance in all weather conditions and is certified to operate between -20°C and +40°C.
  The cartridge housing, electronic wiring and airbag are easily removable.
  Gas cartridges can be replaced by selected Alpinestars dealers or certified Tech-Air service centers.
• The canvas jacket is washable after the electronic components have been removed.
