Aerodynamic shell design

• Designed and perfected in Shoei's state-of-the-art wind tunnel facilities
• 6.1 % reduction in drag and 1.6 % reduction in lift compared to the X-14
• More than 150 profile shape iterations help improve high-speed stability and reduce negative forces.
• The rear stabilizer system, concave shell surface, and pronounced ridges on the upper left and right sections of the helmet improve aerodynamic performance.

Multi-Ply Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus (AIM+) Shell

• Six-layer matrix composed of fiberglass, lightweight organic fibers, and high-performance fibers to provide optimal impact absorption, high strength, and excellent flexibility.
• Four shell sizes

Multi-density, multi-piece EPS liner

• Optimized impact absorption thanks to different foam densities placed in key areas
• The precise positioning of the multi-density EPS liner allows for a more compact and lightweight design.
• Strategically placed tunnels allow fresh air to flow freely through the helmet
• A small channel at the front of the chin bar is designed to guide and accommodate hydration systems, including the optional Shoei hydration tube sold separately.

Ventilation system

• Seven (7) closable air intakes and six (6) air vents
• The air intakes are strategically designed and positioned to maximize airflow and the suction effect of negative air pressure toward the back of the helmet.
• The EPS liner ventilation tunnels have been enlarged from 6 mm to 10 mm deep compared to the previous model for superior ventilation.
• Innovative cheek pad cooling system with a greater number of openings that direct fresh air toward the cheek area.

Field of view

• The eye port trajectory has been revised compared to the previous model to increase the upper field of view by 5 mm.
• The Pinlock® DKS-304 EVO lens system helps provide a fog-free view. Its moisture-absorbing surface attracts and retains water molecules, while its airtight seal creates a thermal barrier that helps prevent condensation on the visor.
• The EVO lens is 10 % larger than its predecessor and improves the side field of view thanks to the repositioning of the mounts outside the eye port.

CWR-F2R shield and base plate system

• Distortion-free shield thanks to Shoei's innovative 3D injection molding process
• Protects against 99 % of the sun's harmful UV rays
• The CWR-F2R's "flat" 2D outer surface, combined with 3D technology on the inside, offers a dynamic style and optimized visibility.
• Vortex generators located on the sides of the shield improve aerodynamics and reduce wind noise.
• The central locking mechanism helps distribute the forces exerted on the shield evenly between the two spring-loaded base plates.
• Exclusive two-step shield locking system: central locking mechanism and race shield lock.
• The locking mechanism prevents the shield from detaching during an impact or accident

3D Max-Dry II Custom Interior System

• The 3D Max-Dry Custom Interior System II is fully removable, washable, adjustable, and replaceable.
• Max-Dry material absorbs and wicks away sweat and moisture twice as fast as traditional nylon interiors.
• The independent components of the 3D center pad can be replaced with optional thicknesses to customize the fit.
• Each pocket-shaped pad includes distinct, removable layers that can be removed to further optimize the individual fit.
• The patented angle adjustment mechanism allows the helmet position to be changed by up to 4 degrees to increase the upper field of view in an extreme racing position.
• The cheek pad surface area has been increased by 16.5 % compared to the X-14 for a more secure and comfortable fit.

Emergency quick release system (E.Q.R.S.)

• The emergency quick release system allows medical personnel to easily remove the cheek pads from an injured rider's helmet.
