Its multi-density thermo-injected shell offers a perfect balance between lightness and impact resistance, while its 17-channel ventilation system ensures optimal comfort even in the most intense conditions.

FEATURES:

• Advanced Shell Construction: This helmet features a thermo-injected shell incorporating a special blend of polymers enhanced by varying degrees of density, designed to provide the optimal combination of impact protection and lightness. The average SM3 weighs 1430g (ECE) and 1460g (DOT).
  
• Ventilation: Maximized ventilation and high levels of heat transfer exchange through 10 inlets and seven exhaust outlets.
  
• Rotational Acceleration Force Protection: Alpinestars' patented low-friction coating is applied to the inner portion of the main EPS liner to reduce rotational acceleration forces that can result from certain angled impacts. This layer essentially acts as a glide plane to mimic the brain's low-friction cerebrospinal fluid, which is the body's natural defense against angled impacts.
  
• Visor Release: The patented visor release system ensures that the visor is released with the correct predetermined amount of force, effectively reducing forces on the rider's neck during an impact.

Construction :

• The interior and exterior surfaces are designed to minimize the effects of angled impacts.
  
• 5 EPS inner sections with 4 densities to effectively manage volume and performance in the event of an impact.
  
• Hydration tube channels are integrated into the helmet's cheek pads for convenience and performance.
  
• The comfort lining is made from recycled materials for a reduced carbon footprint.
  
• The fit can be adapted to the rider's head thanks to the helmet's shell and cheek pads, which are available as genuine replacement parts in various thicknesses.

Protection:

• Alpinestars has introduced a new internal standard for the SM3 helmet to test the helmet's chin bar under more severe conditions than the homologation standard, and to meet Alpinestars' new standards, both the shell thickness and the helmet design structure have been optimized in the chin bar area for superior impact performance.

• Equipped with an emergency release system and removable cheek pads to allow safe and easy removal of the cheek pads while the helmet is still on, while the 3D contoured foam ensures rider comfort.
