FEATURES

General Technology

• The Tech-Air® 3 is a fully self-contained airbag system, requiring no external connection or sensor on the motorcycle.
• This is the lightest standalone system in the Alpinestars range, designed to be worn over or under a motorcycle jacket.
• When inflated, it offers complete protective coverage: chest and back, for optimal upper body protection.

Sensors and detection

• It incorporates six sensors:

3 accelerometers (including 1 triaxial)

3 gyroscopes (including 1 triaxial)

• These sensors allow for ultra-precise analysis of driving situations and collisions.
• Inflation is triggered in 50 milliseconds when a collision is detected.

Design & Functioning

• Automatic activation thanks to the magnetic zipper.
• Diagnostic and electronic connector in a waterproof housing, ensuring reliable operation in the rain.
• Chassis treated for a high level of water resistance, effective in all weather conditions.
• Compact system that can be stored in a backpack or under the saddle when not in use.

• Firmware can be updated via the Tech-Air® application.

Battery

• Certified lithium-ion battery, 40-hour battery life.
• Full recharge in 4 hours.

Gas cartridge

• The argon gas cartridge is housed in an ergonomic case on the right side.
• Easily replaceable at any Alpinestars dealer.
• Cartridge approved by CE according to ISO26263 standard (safety of embedded systems).

Protection & Certifications

• Protection as described: full chest and full back.
• The inflatable cushion is certified category II according to PPE regulation 425/2017/EEC.
• Compliant with European standard EN1621-4:2013 (motorcycle airbags).
• The outer garment is 17092 Class C, water resistant.
• The compact Pro 2nd generation ECU (electronic control unit) is integrated into the upper part of the back.

• Diagonal zipper closure providing full chest coverage while concealing the internal pad.
• Internal magnetic button for easy positioning.
• Stretch panels on the sides of the abdomen allow for expansion of the cushion.
